Meet KSUA's new Music Director, Roshaun.

Hello everyone!

My name is Roshaun, and I’m the new Music Director at KSUA 91.5 FM, UAF’s local college radio station. As a sort of ‘get to know me’, I’m a student at UAF majoring in Philosophy and Psychology. Hobbies include reading philosophy, skateboarding, and listening to music/playing bass. My main goal as Music Director is to just put out more music from lesser known artists, things that hopefully a lot of the listeners will enjoy hearing. My music taste has a pretty wide range of different genres and styles.

More recently, I’ve listened to a lot of indie artists, lo-fi, bedroom pop type music. A few of my favorite records include Men I Trust’s Oncle Jazz , $uicideboy$’s KILL YOURSELF Part XIII: The Atlantis Saga, Radiohead’s In Rainbows , Mac Demarco’s 2, and Gorillaz’s Plastic Beach , and Boy Pablo’s Roy Pablo just to name a few. That’s still a pretty restricted list, and a bit more accessible than the music I plan to air, hahah. Anything from punk, to classic rock, to rap, to mainstream pop, I’ve listened to it (and, lowkey, sometimes will still jam out to C418’s Minecraft - Volume Alpha . No shame.) and have some things to share that I hope you all will enjoy, and will stand the test of time. I’m here for the music, the artists, and for the connection we all have over the music.
